The primary veterinarian involved an animal chiropractor to help treat the surrounding musculoskeletal structures as well as offer advice on cryotherapy (use of cold) and rehabilitation exercises.

The animal chiropractor reviewed any information in existence of conservative disc management, rehabilitation strategies and associated musculoskeletal involvement of disc injury. They may review surgical techniques that are offered, orthopaedic tests or pain challenges used by veterinarians. The writer of the assignment should discuss knowledge limitations and processes that can be used for enhancing the supportive role of chiropractic in disc injury recovery.
